The short answer is YES. Engagement sessions are amazing for so many reasons. First, it gives you gorgeous photos to really celebrate such a special milestone in your life and relationship. 1. We get to meet in person before your wedding
This makes all the difference on your wedding day! We already know each other and you’ll feel far more relaxed. I love to become friends with all of my couples!

Engagement sessions give you an idea of what to expect for couple portraits on your wedding day. As you’ll be more used to the camera, they also help to ensure I can capture your truest emotions throughout the day, as you’re not worrying about any of it!
3. You’ll love your couple photos even more on your wedding day
An engagement session gives us plenty of time to chat, relax and take beautiful photos. We can find out what your favourite images and prompts are, and what works well for you as a couple. You’ll be familiar with all of these prompts, which saves time on your wedding day and ensures you LOVE your couple photos.
4. You’ll feel more connected with your photographer
When your wedding day comes, your photographer is someone you’ll be spending a LOT of time with. I strongly believe connecting with your wedding photographer on a personal level is SO important! An engagement session gives us lots of time to get to know each other. I think a great connection with your photographer reflects in more trust on your wedding day, and more trust results in better photos!
5. It gives you beautiful photos you can incorporate into your wedding!
As well as having gorgeous images for your home, you can use the images from your engagement session for so many parts of your wedding. For example, on your save the dates, invitations and wedding website. A lot of couples also love to have prints around their venue for you and your guests to enjoy, making your day that bit more special.
