If you’re anything like me, you’ll LOVE seeing all the pretty details from a wedding day. The rings, shoes, dress, florals, stationery – all of it is so amazing to look at, and so unique to each beautiful couple. So much time and thought goes into choosing gorgeous details, so they certainly deserve their own dedicated photos!
I always recommend to my couples that they put all of their essential details to be photographed in a bag/box, so everything is there ready for me the morning of the wedding.
There are so many details to think about, so I’m here to share with you a full list of all the things you could consider having ready for your photographer:
- All rings
- Florals – plan to have your bouquets/button holes arrive before your photographer so they can be included in detail photographs
BONUS: ask your florist to include any extra flowers/off cuts they have, so your photographer can use them in styling. (For my couples I usually contact their florist and arrange this, so that’s one less thing for you to worry about!) - Invitation suite/stationery
- Shoes
- Bridal dress
- Jewellery – necklace, earrings, bracelet etc
- Perfume – this can be such a fun addition to detail photographs. Are you having a special scent for your wedding?
- Anything else you want photographed! If there are any other details that are important to you, be sure to include them. This could be anything sentimental as well, such as your grandparent’s jewellery or something special of theirs
- BONUS: tell your partner to have their things ready too for some photos of their special wedding details
- For men this typically includes: shoes, tie, belt, watch, cufflinks, boutonniere, cologne and any other memorable items
I also bring with me a few extra styling details, such as a background, a neutral coloured ring box and some gorgeous ribbon!
