Hello newly engaged! If you’re reading this, you’re most likely at the start of wedding planning and searching for vendors who can bring your wedding day vision to life!
You’re probably looking at booking the first few vendors such as your venue, wedding planner and photographer! Today I want to share some guidance on why it’s SO important to invest in your dream photographer, particularly if beautiful photos are a priority to you.
I get it, planning a wedding can quickly get expensive, but a big regret for many couples is not investing enough in their photography – after all, it’s one of the ONLY things that last after your wedding day.
Here are a few reasons why it’s worth investing in your dream photographer:
1. Your wedding day will run more smoothly.
One of the most important things you should look for in a wedding photographer is someone you CONNECT with. Yes you should love their work, but you should also love their personality! This is vital because your photographer plays such a big role on your wedding day, and you’re going to spend so much time with them. They are also one of the main vendors who interact with all your guests, and they’re going to essentially organise certain parts of the day (like family photos).
2. You’ll feel more relaxed and comfortable.
Having a photographer who you can see as a friend and feel comfortable around makes all the difference! They’ll be there to help support you and remove any little stresses. Plus, if you’re relaxed and having a great time, that will really show in your photos!
3. You’re going to look back and LOVE your wedding photos.
Your photos are some of the ONLY things that last after your wedding – they will remain forever! Make sure to do your research and look through a lot of photographer’s work – it’s super helpful to see a full gallery example too, so you can see how different photographers capture each part of the day.
